EMDR Therapy
for women who believe they must be perfect
Helping you navigate feeling “not good enough”and down on yourself so you can feel confident and trust yourself.
You have an overwhelming fear that you will be "found out" for not being good enough or for not knowing how to handle every situation that you encounter. Or maybe it's that you feel stuck in fear so you rationalize the reasons why it's ok to delay or talk yourself out of moving forward with a project or goal that has always been important to you. With EMDR therapy I can help you get to the bottom of what's keeping you stuck and clear out those negative beliefs that are holding you hostage so that those dreams you have can be real.
Hi, I'm Lynn,
I'm an EMDR therapist and I specialize in working with Imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and disordered eating. Using EMDR therapy, I'll help you gain confidence, self-assurance, and trust, to enable you to recognize your own competence and dispel any thoughts of not being good enough.
My Approach
When I use EMDR therapy with clients I start by normalizing what they have internalized from childhood. It's almost like you have a Teflon coating so that your achievements and successes slide right off of you but you wear a velcro jacket so that all of your mistakes, big and little, stick right to you. EMDR therapy will neutralize the uncomfortable thoughts and emotions that accompany any experiences that have left you feeling “not good enough” and allow you to move forward and tackle whatever you have been avoiding out of fear.
How It Works
Step 1
Click the “book a free consultation” button. Talking together will help us determine if we are a good fit.
Step 2
If we are a good fit we can schedule an intake. In this session, I will gather some history and more fully explain the strategies I use in sessions.
Step 3
I meet with clients for 50-minute weekly EMDR therapy sessions and I also provide EMDR Intensives for those who may want to work more intensively to speed up their results.
Transform your life.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a complete therapy. It is so much more than just the reprocessing phase that you may be familiar with where the client follows the therapists fingers with their eyes.
It actually includes 8 phases which include history gathering, preparation (tools and resources), desensitization (trauma processing), body scan to make sure that your body isn’t holding onto any unprocessed emotion, and a phase to reevaluate for changes that have occurred.
-
EMDR uses a 3-pronged approach that explores past experiences that contribute to present-day symptoms, present day triggers, and future goals.

First of all, it works!
It typically works faster than other therapies.
It does not require you to discuss the disturbing details of whatever you want to work on. It lets your brain do the heavy lifting for you.
